Birds of Orion

The 2nd full machine code game, BIrds of Orion is a typical blast the aliens from the bottom of the screen game.  Once again like Meteor Swarm the difficulty level is pretty hard.  The aliens are animated, and the action is pretty fast and furious.  Released in 1986 for both Spectravideo SVI-318/328 and MSX machines.  Runs in 16k.
